About Me

Let me introduce myself~ I am Diane, and I pretty much enjoy life.  I like the things I do, and being creative is relaxing time. I enjoy being happy and content, I feel so lucky!

When I was about 11 years old I decided I wanted to learn to sew and make my own clothes.  My Mom sewed all the time and made us girls some pretty cute dresses when we were young that are to this day my favorite.  My Mother taught me how to sew, I took sewing in High School, then in college.  I have a degree in fashion design and altherations.  With that I started a sewing business in my home.  I worked at home while our kids were little which was perfect.  I brought in the money to play with while my husband brought home the real money!
My husband and I raised 5 kids, 4 boys and 1 girl.  Our oldest was our daughter who became deaf due to the secondary infection after having rubella at the age of 10 months. So long story short, I then became fluent in sign language and onto interpreting in schools and at the city courthouse.
Raising kids was my real job, I loved it.  I enjoyed being home with our children, loved the summers with them and enjoyed their teenage years. Now a few of them are married and made our family larger when they married their spouses (I have the best in laws ever) and now they have made me a grandma! Grandkids are my bonus!!!
When our kids were all in school, I went back to school and studied photography. That was my second dream and I made it come true. I love being a photographer.  I enjoy working with people, getting to know them, laughing with them and makeing memories for them. You can check out my photography blog if you like.  www.dianesphotography.blogspot.com  I like to study all the time learning new ways of doing photography, editing and learning from my clients.

Here with me is my husband, the love of my life and the man who has encouraged me, and helped to make all my dreams come true.  My first dream was  having children, and I got 5 of them.  My second dream was getting a degree in Fashion Design, and my thrid dream as a photographer.  He has made sure I've had time, and the best equipment to work with. He's my best critic also.
He's the Man!
